Mary Russell
1948 - Present
My name is Mary, I was born in Cork in 1948.
This is what I would like to leave after me after I depart this world and especially for my grandchildren and even their children. I hope they will get a better idea of my life and I hope that it helps in your lives too.
"I believe I was 'simply the best, better than all the rest'.

My Story
I was born as Mary Triggs and brought up in 7 Mount View Terrace, Ballhooley Road, St. Lukes, Cork. My mother's name was Elizabeth Flynn and my father's name was Thomas Triggs. I had one sibling, Finbarr Triggs, who was 2 years older than me but died in 2012. I went to primary school in St. Patrick's and secondary school in St. Angela's - where I completed my inter cert.

After school, I worked in the Munster Arcade. When I was around 16, I moved to Dublin and studied dress design at the Grafton Academy. A few years later, I moved to London and worked as a trainee receptionist in the Cumberland Hotel, Marble Arch. I returned home when my father died suddenly from a heart attack.
I married Vincent Russell and we had three children: Mark, Jacki and Judie. We built a business called Cork Domestic Appliances on Patrick's Quay and moved to Lover's Walk. We later divorced and sold the house and business.
I returned to college and studied psychotherapy at Marino Institute, Dublin. I renovated multiple houses and later moved to Belvelly.
Since then it's been cruising, dancing and enjoying my life. For the full story watch my video below.
